We are offering guided Jeep rentals for full day trips (8 hours), overnight trips, as well as two night trips on the world famous Rubicon Trail from Georgetown California to Lake Tahoe. You will get to drive one of our Jeeps with locking diffs and roll cages, this is a once in a lifetime ride. Day trips are $600.00, overnight trips are $1400.00 and two night trips are $2400.00. These prices are per Jeep and each Jeep will carry four people. Trips may be booked by telephone or via email and you may pay the deposit over the phone with your credit card. We require $100.00 down to reserve a date. Refunds may be attained if cancellation is at least two weeks previous to the booked reservation.

We begin each safari in Georgetown. The day trip will take us through Wentworth Springs and then to the Little Sluice where we provide lunch and an opportunity to wander and sightsee a bit and then return through the Loon Lake trail head, and takes approximately eight hours.

The overnight adventure takes us through Wentworth Springs and to Buck Island Lake where we will stay the night and enjoy a dip in the lake and dinner around a camp fire. We will return through Loon Lake and be back to Georgetown by about 4 p.m.  We provide lunch and dinner the day we travel out and breakfast and lunch the next day.

The two night trips go all the way through the trail to Lake Tahoe and are extremely challenging and not for beginners. We generally stay over at Buck Island Lake the first night and Miller Lake the second night then on to Lake Tahoe and back to Georgetown via highway 50.  The two night full trail adventure allows for plenty of downtime so that in addition to conquering the famous trail you can hike, take a swim, take photographs or fish.   All meals are included.

There is always the possibility of breakage on the trail and there is no guarantee we will make it in as far as we would like in the time we have. Sorry but there is no such thing as a sure thing on the Rubicon Trail. The only guarantee is that it will challenge you.

The weather is usually beautiful but bring extra warm clothes for the evening and the ride home on the highway. Don’t forget your swimming suits and camera.

Call Matthew at 530-320-4625 or 530-333-9123 to schedule your trip now.  We go wheeling almost everyday between May and the end of October.  We do try to stay off the trail when the Jeep Jamboree events are going on, it’s just too crowded. But the Jeeps are available for rent to do any of the Jeep events, call for pricing.  We are flexible and will try to work around your schedule as best we can if you would like something different than what is published on the calander, just call. There is extra seating for children in our support vehicle for no extra charge, so bring your kids they will have a blast.
